James Craig ( Jimmy ),age 65, passed away peacefully in his sleep early Wednesday morning May 9, 2018 surrounded by family at his home in Memphis TN. He was born August 20, 1952 in Memphis, TN to Charles G Craig (Red) and Lela Mae Harris. Jimmy was an ironworker for the Local Union 167, when he was able to work. He welcomed one beautiful daughter into this world that he said was" the greatest thing he ever did ". He resided with his sister Wanda Obergfell whom he loved to fuss with. He also loved her with all his heart. In his last weeks,he would call her name in full just to aggravate her. Jimmy never met a stranger and he loved being around his family and friends. He enjoyed the simple things in life and is deeply missed by his friends and family.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his grandparents, parents, a sister Kathy Dhuy and a brother Tommy Craig .
Jimmy is survived by one daughter Brandy N Walker, a son in law Jordan Walker, two grandchildren Maycee Walker and Mabrye Walker, two sisters Wanda Obergfell and Linda Smith, two brothers C.T. Craig and Bobby Craig, along with a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
