James Richard "Rick" Conn, CPA, born September 7th, 1965, in Irving, TX, passed away on September 4th, 2019, in Sherman, TX, surrounded by his family.

Rick was born at Irving Community Hospital to Nancy Davis Conn Curtis and Mike Conn. He attended Brandenburg Elementary in Irving, TX; Lamar Middle School in Irving, TX; Athens High School in Athens, TX, and Nimitz High School in Irving, TX; then graduated with a degree in business accounting from the University of Texas at Arlington with honors in Arlington, TX. Afterward, he became a Certified Public Accountant, working for several companies in the Dallas area until establishing his own accounting firm in 2015 in Allen, TX. He loved the lake and motorcycles especially, as well as hunting and fishing.

He is preceded in death by his daughter Brittany K. Conn (d. 2008); maternal grandparents Dorothy Beaufford Davis and Fred L. Davis of Irving, TX; and paternal grandparents Dolores and Jim Conn, originally from Oklahoma City, then Irving and Sherman, TX.

Rick is survived by his two sons, Preston and Avery Conn; mother Nancy Davis Conn Curtis and stepfather William Charles "Curt" Curtis of Price, TX; father Mike Conn and stepmother Lorraine Conn of Bozeman, MT; brother Patrick Conn of Sherman, TX; sister April Curtis Waggoner of Hewitt, TX; sister Aimee Conn Myers of Arlington, TX; brother Michael Curtis of Redmond, WA; sister Catherine Conn McCasland of Tyler, TX; sister Amanda Curtis Henson of Gilmer, TX; sister Sara Curtis Casey of Kingsport, TN; and sister Ashley Curtis of Lewisville, TX; wife Sheri Conn of Sherman, TX; and over a dozen nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and many colleagues.
