James's obituary

Kennth Cobb, 73 years old, of Dixons Mills, passed away on April 4, 2022 after a long  battle with cancer.

Kenneth was one of ten children - Emily Lane, Frankie Nell Brewer, Alma Jean Johnston, Sandra Booth, Lillian Black, Laverne Dennis, Alvis Cobb and Curtis Cobb -  born to Buford and Pauline Cobb. He was born on April 25, 1948.  He attended Linden High School.  After graduating from Linden High School in Linden, in 1966, he  went on to begin a career in construction and ended as a maintenance mechanic at Macmillan Bloedel in Pine Hill where he had a career doing what he loved until retirement. He married his high school sweetheart and best friend, Cherry Bradford Cobb. They wed on September 10, 1966, going on to have two children, Teresa Anne Cobb Williams and Matthew David Cobb and three grandchildren, Jordan Etheridge, Jay Etheridge and Bridget Cobb and one great grandson, Rad Etheridge.  After retiring Kenneth  spent his time doing what he loved - sitting on the porch and visiting with family and friends and spending time with his family as  his children and grandchildren were his heart. He enjoyed  his garden and yard work.  Kenneth was known for his kindness and compassion for other people.  It seemed to be his  goal to make people happy and smile. Taking care of other people was his passion. He would literally give his things to other people even when he needed them.  He went out of his way to help people even if he didn't  know them.  He was one of a kind and a very special man.  He was the best  Daddy and Papa.  Kenneth had a close relationship with God and made sure everyone knew so and it showed in everything he did.  Jesus shined through him.
