Chris's obituary
Chris was born on November 2nd 1953 to Jim and Jeanette Williams in Wichita, Kansas. After his school years, he pursued a career in construction, eventually moving to Bethany, Oklahoma.
After Several years in the construction industry, Chris began working in sales for Jim Walter Papers, where he was very successful. He spent most of his years as an over the road truck driver. His final work years were spent in the oil & gas industry. Chris was also passionate about softball, and even umpired at the 1986 Women's College World Series.
In 1980, he met Teresa (Griffin) at Metroplex Fellowship Church of the Nazarene where they were married and started a family consisting of, Annette, Cody, Andrea, and Autumn.
Chris was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Jeanette. He is survived by his wife of 40 years Teresa, and their children: Annette (Timm) Williams, Cody (Kendra) Williams, Andrea (Norman) Graham, and Autumn (Chris) Guyer, along with 10 grandchildren: Mariah, TJ, Dru, Salene, Brien, Kayley, Evelyn, Julianne, Kevin, & Oliver. Other survivors include his siblings: Chad, Mary Nan (Steve) Maberry, and Jim (Sandy) Williams.
Chris spent the last several years residing at Grace Living Center. The Family wishes to express their appreciation to the staff at Grace, as well as to family members Annette and Chad for their attentiveness to Chris.
We also want to express deep gratitude to Pastor Phillip Kimberling and the entire Metroplex Church Family for the love, prayers, and support extended Chris, Teresa, and the family. Thank you all for being part of our lives.
Services will be held at Metroplex on May 22nd at 10:30am. Lunch will be provided after the service at noon.
