39th United States President, Georgia Governor, Nobel Peace Prize Recipient. He served as the President of the United States from January 20, 1977, to January 20, 1981. He served one term and was defeated by Ronald Reagan in the 1980 election. In 2002, he received the Nobel Peace Prize "for his decades of untiring effort to find peaceful solutions to international conflicts, to advance democracy and human rights, and to promote economic and social development." …
