James Michael "Mike" Buerkett, 66, passed away Tuesday, December 27th 2022 at Carle Foundation Hospital.
Mike was born the second of three sons on November 25, 1956 to James A. Buerkett and Betty Charlene (Brown) Buerkett in Springfield, IL. He was proud to share a birthday with his mother Charlene.
As a child Mike moved to Champaign with his family and graduated from Centennial High School. …
