James's obituary
He spent 28 years working in the printing business, 5 years as a care pastor at Bayfield Community Church in Bayfield, Colorado, and 3 years on staff at Sherman Bible Church in Sherman, Texas. James was an avid fisherman and loved to hunt. He enjoyed helping people in their time of need and leading people to Christ. He took up the sport of golf in his retirement and found peace on the golf course.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Cheryl A. Brookins, His daughters Marty Erwin and Sundy Dills, and son Brady Brookins. His son-in-law Hans Erwin, daughter-in-law Erin Brookins, grandchildren Emma and Joshua Erwin, Parker, Spencer, Davis, Graham, Aubrey and Adalie Dills, Clayton Brookins, Tanner Bright, Taylor Torbert, and great grand-daughters, Kaliyah Lea and Tatum Bright.
