I am so sorry to hear of Larry's death. My prayers are with Jean, Susan and family.

When I met Larry 50 years ago at John Wesley UMC he became an instant forever friend. Always having a handshake and a welcoming smile. Though our lives traveled around the area we once again connected at Cannon UMC and picked up without a skipping a beat . His warm welcome will be missed by those of us privileged to call him friend.

I was heartbroken to hear of the passing of Larry B. He was such a sweet man. My condolences to his family. Heaven gained an angel.
I cannot think of the Blankenship’s without thinking of their kindness. My earliest memories of what “parents friends” were, were the Blankenships.
I also cannot smell the pleasant aroma of pipe smoke, without thinking of Mr. B and his jolly, friendly demeanor. Prayers and grateful thoughts to Jean, Susan and family.

I am so sorry to hear about Mr. Blankenship. Growing up next door to Larry, Jean and Susan are some of the best memories of my childhood. He was a great husband, father and friend to all the kids on our street. He always had time to spend with us. You will be truly missed. ❤️❤️
Some of my favorite childhood memories involve Larry, Jean snd Susan. Larry was a wonderful man who always had a smile and a twinkle in his eye. He will be greatly missed.
Larry was a great guy to be around. I always enjoyed talking to him.
My goodness Jean, Susan, David and Dylan. We are saddened at the news of Larry’s death. He was a jewel with such a sly, understated wit and humor that revealed his wonderful intelligence. We were so blessed to serve with him at John Wesley Church and then to continue our friendship over these last twenty-eight years. We grieve the restrictions of COVID, but we offer love and we pray peace and grace for you.
Blankenship's passing. Our heartfelt condolences go out to the family. May his memory be a blessing to all.
Larry B was the best. His spirit lives on. My condolences to all the family.
Jean, Susan, David, Dylan, Jane and family. It doesn't seem possible that we 'Zoomed' with Larry and Jean two Sundays ago in Sunday School. Before the Pandemic hit, Larry would faithfully serve at Cannon Church in a variety of areas. Larry was a wonderful man and always make a point to spend time chatting with Bob and I. He loved talking with people and was genuinely interested in what they had to say. We felt very fortunate to know him. We will miss him greatly. Praying for you all. Hold fast to those precious memories...
It is with great sadness that I have received the news of Larry's passing. Larry Blankenship (Mr. Blankenship) and family, were our next door neighbors for many years. As very young teenagers, growing up next door to this very wonderful family, we always referred to Larry as Mr. Blankenship with much respect! As kids, we played hard in our front yard and in theirs as well. Never once, did Larry or Jean scold us for playing on their property, and in some cases, innocently damaging some shrubs and freshly planted flowers. They had every right to come down on us, as we were mindless young unthoughtful kids at play. Now as an adult of many years, I think back of our regretful and inconsiderate actions. Please forgive us! Larry was the best in a very personable way. A very kind and gentle man, with an ever needed smile that he effortlessly always produced! My memory of him, that has never faded, it is of a very kind and caring person that always spoke to you with an interest in your life and well-being. The adoration, that I have for him and his family as well, is far beyond any words that can describe what this loss means to myself and my family. The Bennett family was very fortunate to have had Larry Blankenship and family as neighbors, and was considered to be our extended family as well! We, the Bennett family, morn the loss of this great man alongside Jean, Susan and their extended family! In his memory, we will find solace that many were very fortunate to have known this very kind and gentle man! His legacy of compassion and love is deeply rooted in those he touched as family or friend! Rest in peace me dear neighbor!

Jean, what a tribute to Larry posted from Dylan. What love that says about Larry and Dylan.
You and the family are in my prayers. Love, Kathy Overton Fullilove.
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your entire family.
Our Hearts go out to you Jean, Susan and family. We're deeply saddened by your loss. We'll truly miss our lifetime family neighbor of so many years.
My deepest sympathy to Jean, Susan, David, Dylan, & family. The tribute is beautiful and describes Larry so well. He was a very dear friend of the Callahan family and will always be remembered. May God's love and comfort be with each of you in the coming days.
