Jim's obituary

Our  Son/Husband/Father  , Jim, passed away on February 12, 2023 after a on going  illness. He was 88. He is survived by Nancy A Basher (Wife) of Polkton,NC . He was predeceased by his parents Grace( Whitlam ) and George  M Basher and George Rodney Basher (Brother) his (Surviving  relatives )Sister Judith (Basher) Smith , Daughter Patricia Kreutzer, Son David (Laurie) Basher, Stepchildren-  Daughter  Monica ( Steve) Farnsworth, Daughter Connie (Rob) Kennedy,  Daughter Bonnie ( Dennis ) Boltz, Son Robert (Jackie) Waterhouse. Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.

Jim  was born in Erie County NY and graduated from Amherst High then moved to Florida with his parents  and grew up near Cocoa Beach, FL .. Jim then moved back to to join the United States Air Force. Once finished he became employed by Town of Tonawanda/City of Kenmore.  In 1984 he met the love of his life Nancy . Quick 6 weeks later they became husband and wife.

Jim and Nancy resided in Little Valley NY before moving to Polkton ,NC 

He enjoyed the Outdoors, Flying , Cruising, Camping, NRA, Puzzles, Reading, Playing Cards ,Playing Guitar to Jim Reeves. ALL Casinos.

Highlights of Jim and Nancy's travels were many Cruise's to Hawaii, trip to Alaska and California ,2 Month travel around the United States.

 

 There are no immediate events  planned, as he did not wish to have services. A memorial will take place in New York at a later date. You may make a donation to Alzheimer Association @  www.alz.org  in his honor as an alternative to flowers.
