Sharyl, Sarah- Jim was a great guy with a great family. From meeting Jim 2005-6 when Jim joined the LAWS BOD I always enjoyed seeing & talking with him. He was a great  LAWS BOD member & I enjoyed our activities around LAWS. However I enjoyed more the time we spent socializing on the golf course and at events w/ both of you.  Jim was a great story-teller, fun to listen to and made a lot of fun times on the golf course. Jim had  a great family - Jim was a great guy.

Sharyl,I know the days and months ahead will be a big adjustment, so please give yourself a lot of grace. Do whatever you need, to take care of you-- and know that we as a family are here for you too during this challenging time. James was loved and will be missed but most of all he will be forever remembered.

Sharyl, I am so sorry to hear of Jim's passing.  I was glad to have met him, and enjoyed his time with Nelson when we were visiting you both in Florida.  Heard lots of stories of the years past when in Northern VA.   Memories are the best and will always be found in your heart.  My deepest sympathy to you and your family.

So many memories of this incredible person beginning when I was 17!  Jimmy and I were married twice in the '70s and he helped shape me to be who I am today.  May all who knew him find comfort and peace in your memories.

Our SWAT team Commander pushed us past the point where we thought we were at our  best to make sure we and everyone else knew we were in fact  the very best  1*

Beautifully said Sharyl. Sending sympathy to you and his whole family. I can still hear Jim telling us some incredible story, full of funny details and most likely a lesson we should have filed away.
