Jim's obituary

We are heartbroken to share that James Armon Berger (Jim), a man who brought so much life and joy to those around him, passed away far too soon.

Jim was born to the late Stan and Emmy Berger, and grew into a hardworking, talented individual with a passion for building and creating. As a skilled general contractor, he took pride in his work, ensuring every detail was perfected. In his later years, his love for collecting became a cherished hobby, bringing him endless enjoyment.

For 45 years, Jim shared his life with his wife, Pam. Their years together were filled with love, laughter, and countless memories. Together, they raised two children, Shawna and James, and built a family full of joy. Jim was the proud grandfather to seven grandchildren—Keiran, Chase, and Bexley; and Gabby, Gracelyn, Jackson, and Maevin—and a great-grandfather to little Violet.

Jim is survived by his brothers Stan, Bob, and Steve. He is predeceased by his brother Larry and sister May, who always held special places in his heart.

Jim had a strong connection to the lake, spending peaceful moments fishing, boating, and taking in the rugged beauty of the outdoors. He also enjoyed the company of his bulldogs, who brought him comfort and companionship. Whether it was relaxing in the tiki bar watching movies, soaking in the Jacuzzi, or barbecuing outdoors with a beer in hand, Jim truly embraced the simple pleasures of being outside and enjoying the fresh air with those he cared about.

Jim’s kindness, humor, and unforgettable presence will be remembered by all who knew him. His life was one of love, creativity, and cherished moments—a legacy that will never be forgotten.

A service to celebrate Jim’s life will be held on January 23rd at 10 a.m. at Saint Joseph’s Catholic Church, located at 877 N Campus Ave, Upland, CA 91786.
