James Alan Benson “Jimmy”

November 19, 1954 - September 14, 2022

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jimmy A. Benson of Grosse IIe, Michigan. Jimmy passed away peacefully September 14, 2022, at the age of 67, with his loving family by his side. He was born in Dearborn Michigan, November 19, 1954, to parents Martha and Milford Benson.

Jimmy is survived by: his loving wife of 44 wonderful years, Robin Benson, his brother and sister-in-law, Jeff and Patricia Benson, nephew, Jeff Benson Jr., niece, Andrea Benson, sisters-in-law, Kimberly and Wendy Kurczewski, brother-in-law, Brad Kurczewski, great nieces, Anna and Grace Benson.

Jimmy was a lover of animals, he will be greatly missed by his dog, Scuby, and cats, Lovey and Buddy. Jimmy was a great outdoorsman, he looked forward to deer hunting each year, he also enjoyed water sports, especially waterskiing.

Join us to celebrate the life of Jimmy Benson, Grosse IIe Country Club, 9339 Bellevue Rd. Grosse IIe, MI 48138, September 21, 2022 (12 noon to 2:30 pm), lunch provided. We look forward to sharing our memories of Jimmy with family and friends.
