JaKayla's obituary

JaKayla "Kaylamae" Floyd, a loving, caring, funny, joyful, and happy young woman, was born on November 17, 2008, and sadly passed away on June 20, 2023. JaKayla, also known as Kaylamae, was a source of kindness and love, leaving behind a legacy that will be cherished by her family and friends.

JaKayla is survived by her brothers, Jaquan Floyd, Jakavion Floyd, Jakorian Floyd, and Antonio Woods, as well as her mother, Ms. Jalissa Floyd. She was very close with her family, with some of her fondest memories being made while babysitting her baby cousin Kyrie and spending time at her cousin BJ's house.

A true lover of life, JaKayla had a variety of interests. Her favorite foods included chicken nuggets and noodles, and her preferred drink was water. She was a fan of Rod Wave's music and enjoyed watching TV shows like "Everybody Hates Chris." Her favorite movies were "ATL," "Love & Basketball," and "Crooklyn," and she was an avid supporter of the Sumter County Panthers sports team.

In her free time, JaKayla could often be found playing Roblox, running, or simply enjoying quality time at home or with her loved ones. Her favorite vacation spot was Florida, and she was passionate about her life and family.

JaKayla's favorite colors were red and black, and her personality could best be described as loving, caring, funny, joyful, and happy. She was a constant reminder to those around her to never give up in life.

Though JaKayla may not have had a favorite book or piece of art, her impact on the lives of those around her was immeasurable. Her legacy of kindness and love will live on in the memories of her family and friends, and she will be greatly missed.
