Jairan's obituary
It is with profound sadness that we mourn the passing of Jairan Whitfield Ebanks, who left us far too soon on March 16, 2024. Born on April 8th, Jairan graced our lives with his friendly and charismatic persona, endearing himself to all who were fortunate enough to know him.
A naturally outgoing person, Jairan's richly lived life was reflected in his storytelling. Each tale was a lesson in sacrifice and living in the moment, which he imparted genuinely to those around him. To Jairan, the happiness and well-being of his loved ones took precedence over his own, and this principle guided his actions throughout his life.
His greatest accomplishment and his proudest title was being a father. His dedication to his family showcased the depth and breadth of his love. This love will live on in the hearts of his children as they continue to walk the path he paved for them.
Jairan's legacy will be remembered not by the quantity of his possessions, but by the quality of his character. He treated everyone he met with dignity and respect, whether friend or stranger. His memory will forever be linked with the echoes of his laughter, which made even the gloomiest day brighter.
We invite you to join us as we celebrate the life of Jairan. A viewing will be held on March 30, 2024, at 9:00 AM at 4610 S Wayside Dr. This will be followed by a funeral service at 10:00 AM at the same location. We request those who wish to express their love and respect for Jairan to consider making a donation to the Children's Fund in his honor, at https://everloved.com/life-of…. Funds will go directly to supporting his five small children.
Jairan is preceded in death by his father (Darryl W. Ebanks), his paternal grandparents (Albert and Gloria Ebanks), his maternal grandparents (Shirley Hence, John W. Hence and Herbert Keys, Sr.), his aunts (Syble and Joan Ebanks), and his uncles (Darrell, Herbert Jr., and Stanley Keys, and Gregory J. Hence) . To cherish his legacy Jairan leaves behind his wife (Lauren Ebanks), his seven children (Jariah, Kellie M., Isabelle, Gabrielle, Jairan Jr., Gianni, and Giovanni Ebanks), his mother (Loris Ebanks), his siblings (Brandi Ebanks Copes and Edwin Ebanks) and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and chosen family members.
As we bid goodbye to Jairan, we remember that the love he shared with us does not cease with his passing. As we bear this heavy loss, we find solace in the memories of his resilient spirit, his warm smile, and his contagious laughter. He will be dearly missed, especially by his family, whose lives he enriched immeasurably.
