Jaimie's obituary

Jaimie Lee Downing-Schofield, 34, of Aurora, Colorado, passed away on May 19, 2021 in Denver, CO after a short illness.

Jaimie was born on April 20, 1987 in Oklahoma City, OK. Jaimie graduated from Bokoshe High School in 2005. Jaimie played fastpitch softball throughout her school years and was recognized as one of the best pitchers in the area. Shortly after graduation, Jaimie married Marshall Schofield and gave birth to two beautiful children, Lauren, now 9 years of age and Carter, now 6 years of age. Jaimie chose a career as a loving full-time mother. She was an avid Oklahoma Sooners and Colorado Rockies fan. Jaimie's zest for life and contagious laugh uplifted everyone around her. Her kindred spirit will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Jaimie was predeceased by her grandfather, Gerald Downing. She is survived by daughter, Lauren Lee Schofield and son, Camden Carter Lee Schofield of Denver, CO; father, Blake Downing and Debbie of Tulsa, OK; brother, Jake Downing of Poteau, OK; sisters Tiara and Becca Roberts of Amarillo, TX; grandmother Nancy McCallie and Jim of Eufala, OK, uncle Cliff Downing and Jeana of Wilburton, OK, uncle Bryan Downing and Phyllis of Pocola, OK.
