Jaim's obituary
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Jaim "James" Lombana, who left us unexpectedly on March 1, 2025. Jaim, born on December 14, 1980, was a man whose heart and personality were larger than life. He loved making people laugh, and his honesty, sensitivity, and deep care for others marked him as a truly unique soul. He never hesitated to give his time or even his last dollar to a friend in need; Jaim's generous nature touched the lives of all who knew him.
Music was his creative outlet from childhood. He learned to play the piano at a young age and sound mixing as a teenager/young adult. He had eclectic tastes - Hall & Oates, Billy Joel, Paul Simon, Fiona Apple, classic piano, rock instrumental, classic rock, 80's music, and jazz. He found enjoyment in various TV shows. Motorweek, Knight Rider, and Miami Vice were his favorites, but he also enjoyed classics like The Three Stooges, The Honeymooners, and Sanford & Son, along with the animated humor of Beavis & Butt-Head and South Park. He also loved movies, with Scarface, Lenny, and Robocop among his favorites.
Passionate about photography and visual media, he took countless pictures and videos throughout his lifetime. He also loved video games, amassing an extensive collection of games across multiple systems. Some of his favorites were Golden Axe, Altered Beast, Shadowgate, Grand Tourismo, Wolfenstein, and Resident Evil. As a faithful Miami Heat fan, he enthusiastically shared the team's victories and defeats while wearing Miami Heat red, one of his favorite colors. He enjoyed watching rally racing, 24 Hours of Daytona, and Lemans. He was also a Florida Panthers hockey and Inter-Miami futbol fan.
Jaim found joy in a range of recreational activities. Whether it was hanging out with friends, singing Sinatra on karaoke night at the Den, working on cars, or simply listening to the ocean while watching the sun set, Jaim always wanted to make the most out of every moment. He frequented many local spots such as plane watching at Ft. Lauderdale airport, enjoying good food at Georgia Pig and Lester's, or relaxing at the Pompano pier.
One of the causes that Jaim cared deeply about was "Animal Aid." His great love for animals was demonstrated in one of his life's greatest accomplishments: the rescue of his beloved cat Della ("Meemles"), who sadly predeceased him on December 25, 2024 at the age of two.
Jaim left an indelible mark on the hearts of those he met with his ability to connect and bring people together. He is survived by his wife Karyn, his cat Perry, his biological family, who primarily reside in Florida & Panama, and his chosen family of friends, who he loved so much. His legacy truly is the love and friendship he leaves behind. And while Jaim will be greatly missed, his impactful life and memories will continue to bring comfort and joy to those who loved him.
In lieu of flowers, donations are being collected for "Animal Aid", a cause close to Jaim's heart, at https://everloved.com/life-of….
