Jacqueline Davis Hargrove was born June 20, 1961. She gained her wings on September 19, 2020.

Jackie attended Durham Public Schools and graduated from Hillside High School in 1977. She continued her education at North Carolina Central University where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Family and Consumer Sciences. She also completed a graduate certification program at the University of Maryland at College Park. She worked with Duke University Medical Center, then was employed by DECI for 25 years. She ended her career with the state of North Carolina as a vocational rehabilitation specialist.

Jacqueline was a devoted mother. She enjoyed working with computers and electronics and was an avid reader. She loved to cook and spend time with her friends and family, especially her grandson, Johnathan.

She was a spiritual woman who had a lifelong journey in Christ. This journey taught her how to love her neighbors, saved or unsaved, and lead the unsaved souls to Christ. She was eager to lend a helping hand to those in need, lifting people's spirits, giving hope to those in despair and putting smiles on the faces of those in tears. She was a herlo for many and will be deeply missed by her friends, family and all that knew her.

Jacqueline was preceded in death by her loving husband - Dickey Lewis Hargrove, her mother - Ruth Freeman Davis, her father - Julius Davis, Jr, and her Godson - Herman Tyrone Mitchell.

She is survived by one brother - Julius Davis, III (Effie), two sisters - Patricia Davis of Maryland and Constance Whitaker (Roosevelt) of Durham.

She leaves to cherish her fond memories her daughter - Marquia Hargrove, her son - David Hargrove, her grandson - Johnathan Hargrove, her nieces - Chantelle Davis Williams (Terrence), Kelda Davis, Keyshia Martin, Tinita Walker, her nephews - Mario Watts (Felicia) and Baron Martin, and a host of other relatives and friends.
