It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Jacqueline "Susie" Elders, a loving and caring woman, who left us far too soon on October 16, 2025. Susie was born on April 29, 1950, and through her 75 years of life, she touched many hearts with her consistently happy demeanor.

She was preceded in death by her parents Jackie Lockridge Caldwell and IJ Lambert, her brother Shawn Hedrick, and the love of her life Joseph T. Elders Sr. Despite her losses, Susie faced life with resilience and a smile, setting an example for all around her.

She is survived by an extensive loving family, who will miss her dearly. Her surviving family includes her sister Pansy Cloninger and husband Oscar, her brother Nicky Joe Helms, nephews Paul Wilson and Chad Cloninger, niece Jessica Wilson, her step-children Joe Elders Jr., Cathy Elders, and Mitzi Kaylor, many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Susie was a woman of many interests, possessing a taste for Romance and Mystery Novels. She loved music of all styles and genres, and loved to dance. Her favorite TV shows included Doctor Who and Masterpiece Theater, displaying her love for intriguing narratives and sophisticated drama. 

Susie's absence will be deeply felt by her family, friends, and all who knew her. Her legacy, however, will forever be remembered – a testament to a life well lived, full of love and happiness.
