It is with deep sorrow that the family of Jackie Abbott announces her sudden passing on September 29, 2023, at the age of 59.

Born on March 15, 1964, in New Westminster, B.C., Jackie is preceded by her parents, Fay and Ray Goddu, and her niece, Rachel Nash. She is survived by her son, Brock Abbott; husband, Mark Abbott; five siblings, Yvonne Holman, Susan Lashley, Paulette Goddu, Lucy Bolton, and Bill Goddu; as well as her nieces and nephews, Willow Yamauchi, John Goddu, Amanda Trites, Katherine Dewar, Alex Holman, Scott Holman; their loving families, and her doting friends.

Jackie's indomitable spirit brightened every room she entered, casting her as the brightest, funniest, and most vivacious presence. Her profound appreciation for dark humour, joyful moments, and delightful company endeared her to everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her. Jackie was not only a beloved multi-talented musician, painter, and extraordinary home-cook but also a dedicated ICU nurse for 22 years. Her compassionate care resonated deeply with her cherished friends, family, and the critters she befriended.
