The world unexpectedly lost a spark of pure creativity at the sudden passing of Jacob, known to his friends as Jay and to his family as Jake, who was a beloved son, brother and friend. He was an activist, a nonconformist, and an avid artist, who touched the lives of many. Jake had a sharp, quick wit and loved to explore esoteric topics; he would dive into philosophical conversations with anyone and always left you with ideas to ponder.

From a very young age, Jay loved creating art, as well as reading anything and everything. His infectious laugh and genuine charisma were a constant; he brought energy to every room! He was inspired to motivate others and held strong in his beliefs, while taking an active role in organizing grass roots movements. Jake upheld a deep appreciation and admiration for classic literature and film, always sharing his favorite works with his family and friends. He was an avid hiker and biker, who loved adventure and was always up for an impromptu road trip. Jay had a passion for cooking and creating new recipes, whether in an intimate setting or at work; he loved to make people feel better with a warm meal and a drink.

Jacob is survived by his brokenhearted mother, Debbie Stephenson, and her husband Greg; his father Jim Law; his sister, Hannah Cuozzo, and her husband, Branden; his brother, Josh Law; his youngest sister, Jenna Law as well as countless friends and extended family members, too many to name.  

No one was expecting to lose Jake so soon and his passing leaves a huge hole in the world, one that only encourages us to all hold those we love a little tighter. We will miss him for eternity and are grateful for the time we had, but we weren’t done making new memories and it wasn’t long enough.
