Our Grandkids never can spend enough time with us as they grow up.  Jacob spent time with us even as a tiny newborn. At 8 weeks old he went on a plane trip with Don and I to Reno for a wedding of his Aunt Shannon.  He traveled down to his Aunt Leslie's home in Oregon as a baby also.  One of the funniest stories was when he went camping with us one weekend, at about the age of three.  He showed his dislike for one of the other campers who we did not personally know, but he irritated  Jakey so Jake jumped up from his campfire chair, walked over and kicked the guy right in his knee!!! I quickly guided him to the camper, stating it was time for bed!!!  I asked him why on earth he had nailed the guy, and he just calmly stated that he didn't like the man and that he was talking too much and "made me mad"!   Jake spent several days hunting over here with his Father-in-Law several years ago.  We shared a great time around the campfire that weekend.  When the two of them came wearily driving into the driveway, I asked if they were too tired to sit around another campfire for drinks and snacks and sharing time???  They both perked right up and we spent several fun hours just sharing and enjoying each other's stories as adults.  We are missing you our handsome Grandson....

My heart is heavy with the loss of Jacob. His persona was so rich and his light shone through so brightly when he was around. His hugs were firm and really felt warm. His smile was enchanting and engaging. I have missed him at our Eagles, talking and playing pool. I will continue to miss his presence and will carry his memory in my heart.
God bless all his family and friends <3 Sincerely, Mary <3
