On a missions trip to Peru I got to play with the kids with Jacob. He always had a smile and I remember the kids immediately loving to play with him. He truly cared about people and made the kids feel so loved. Jacob had a kindness and joy that radiated to everyone around him.

The thing I remember most about Jacob was his fierce joy. Even while in the midst of his battle against cancer, Jacob was always smiling and praising God. He also had such a compassionate heart. No matter the size of his own troubles, he would show up to church and college group eager to hear how everyone else was doing. His love for others and the Lord was so obvious and is a powerful testimony to leave behind.
