Jackie's obituary
Jacqueline "Jackie" Phillips Moore, a longtime resident of Dallas, left us on May 17, 2025.
She was born in Weatherford, Texas on July 22, 1939. She attended school at Diamond Hill Jarvis in Fort Worth, Bowie Jr. High in Odessa and graduated from Odessa High School in 1957. She moved to Dallas in 1958 and was a secretary at Passman Jones Law Firm and McKool-McKool until she joined American Airlines in 1963 where she was a flight attendant until her retirement in 2003.
Jackie’s passions were singing, theatre, and travel. In her younger years she frequented the local jazz clubs in Dallas, both as a patron and performer. Her relocation to New York City in 1992 afforded her the opportunity to attend the theatre regularly. She obtained her SAG card so she could audition for roles, and worked as an extra in movies and TV. She also traveled the world extensively, visiting all 7 continents, enjoying bungee jumping, hang gliding, and other adventurous activities during her travels.
She leaves behind her two daughters, Wendy and Amanda, nephew Lynn and a wide circle of friends who celebrate her life for its richness, spontaneity, and sense of adventure.
