Jacqueline “Jackie” Kirkland went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on November 10, 2019. Jackie was very active in the Unicoi Christian Church and previous churches where her husband, Richard Kirkland preached. She played piano for services as long as her health permitted.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Nicholas and Johanna Dykstra and son Daniel Lee Kirkland.

She leaves behind her husband of 63 years Richard Kirkland, son Timothy who resides in Johnson City, and two daughters, Deborah (Jim) Hill of Eustis, Florida, and Rebecca (Jim Franklin) Kirkland of Athens, Georgia, as well as brothers Cliff and Doug Dykstra. She will also be lovingly remembered by her three grandchildren, Ian Kirkland, Erin Kirkland Byrd and Allison Kirkland Dove and six great grandchildren, Haley, Abigail and Asher Byrd, Ayden Kirkland, Madison and Charles Timothy Dove.

Jackie’s wishes were for her body to be donated to Quillen College of Medicine.

Memorial service to held Friday, November 22 at 3pm at the Unicoi Christian Church. Visitation will be at 2 pm.
