Jackie Bankster, a man of remarkable strength and profound wisdom, born in 1961, has passed away peacefully on September 20, 2024 surrounded by his family after a long battle with liver cancer. His life was a testament to tenacity and resilience, inspiring everyone who crossed his path. His life was enriched by deep relationships and his unwavering commitment to his community. He was a beacon of hope and left an indelible mark on this world. He has left behind one daughter, Donya Young of Paragould, Arkansas and 2 granddaughters, Madison and and Abigail. He is preceded in death by his mother, Lorna, and his father, Thomas.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman for most of his life, loved to shoot guns, and loved the outdoors. He loved his church, The Rock of Panama City Beach, where he was a Sunday school teacher for many years. He will be missed by many.
His legacy will be carried forward by the lives he has touched and the memories he has made. His spirit will continue to guide us, and his lessons will serve as a guiding light. A private service will be held in his honor. In lieu of flowers, he asked that a tree be planted or a donation be made to the Boy Scouts of America. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
