Jack H. Hockett, 68, of El Cajon, passed away surrounded by his family on 12/11/21 after battling esophageal cancer.

Jack was born August 1953 in Montebello, CA. After graduating in 1971 from El Rancho High School in Pico Rivera, CA, he enlisted into the Navy and was stationed in San Diego where he lived ever since.

After the Navy, Jack landed his first job as an electrician in the ship repair industry, kicking off a Project Manager career troubleshooting government projects for over 30 years.

In 1983 he met his soul mate, MJ on Fiesta Island and they wed in 1991. During this time they raised their blended family of three children, Tom, Sally and Nate.

Jack was a devoted outdoorsman, husband and father who is survived by his wife MJ, children Sally Trulson and Nathan Hockett, 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
