I knew Jack,,or Andy as we all knew him,,from elementary school at ps#61. We stayed friends until his passing. We had lots of" adventures" threw the years.
Hanging out at his house on Patricia st.
The track, picadillys (ugh) and mostly at Scotty's. Playing basketball at the christamor house.
Lots of good times.

Jack "Andy" Hacker was, is, and will always be our friend. Our friendship began in elementary school and continued to this very day. While our meetings were rare in these recent years, we always gathered at the annual golf outing that we call the Big "Bud" Open. This was our time to gather as friends that grew up on the westside of Indy. Andy never missed this fun filled gathering and all of us looked forward to catching up with him.
My fond memories of our childhood shenanigans, our social events (parties), and our brief road trips (Kings Island, etc) were foundational in those "coming of age" time periods. Yes, Andy was a great and fun guy to be around and he has this very special laugh that I hear to this day. A group of us went to see him box in the Golden Gloves at Tyndall Armory. It amazed me how Andy was interested in exploring new things to challenge himself. Boxing was not one that I saw coming, but he loved it!
Daughters Meredith and Caroline, Sisters Terri and Mona, and to mother Shirley, I am deeply saddened by this news of Andy's passing and sorry that I am out of town and will be unable to attend his services to personally pay my respects to him and to all of you. He is and will always be my friend and besides his silly and unique laugh, his smile still shines brightly on all us!
God Bless Andy and my God Bless the entire Hacker family!
