A lifelong resident of Seminole county has passed away. Jack Childs Sr., 81, of Seminole, OK, passed away on December 27, 2023  in the comfort of his own home while peacefully sleeping. Jack had been battling the effects of late stage Dementia for quite some time . Jack was born on 05/05/1942 to Ralph Childs and Dorthy Jones in Severy, Kansas.  Jack attended school here in Seminole and  in 1961 joined the  Army. In 1963 after being honorably discharged he  landed a  job as a Jet Engine Mechanic for Tinker Air Force Base kicking off a 30+ year  career . In 1961, Jack married Rosemary Maddox and they went on to have 2 children, Diana Madron and Jack Wesley Jr.  After retirement , Jack spent his time going to swap meets, Hunting and fishing and he enjoyed  driving all over to visit with his friends .

Jack was a social man and loved to visit and have lengthy conversations with people . Jack had 6 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, his wife Rosemary one brother, one sister and a grandson. He is survived by his 2 children, Diana and Jack Wesley Jr,  and one  sister Freda Childs.  As  pre requested  there will be no services taking place .
