I met Israel while playing football at Rod. The two of us were both linemen and weβd be together for hours everyday. All of us would sit together at the back of the bus during games and crack jokes because everyone knew weβd most likely lose π. Nothing was ever serious with that team. There were always a ton of pranks and just constant laughter. The coaches could not control that position group at all and it was just such a great time.
To me, Israel was the type of guy to not think twice about joining a conversation. One thing that really stuck out to me is how often he would surprise you from behind and just put his arm over your shoulder and jump into the middle of a group.
Heβd usually have some one-liner prepared, always wanting to make people laugh. I remember him as a guy who always had a smile on his face. He was a gentle guy who loved the camaraderie of the sport more than anything. He loved to have friends and he loved to make connections.
Israel was a good friend and Iβm deeply saddened to hear of his passing. I wish I could have been there to show support. Still, I wish the family the best and know that Israel was a great friend to me and I am glad I had the chance to get to know him.

When I came to the Green Valley middle school for only eighth grade, my seat was right next to Isreal in first period. I did not know anyone at the school but Isreal quickly made me feel welcomed.Β
We quickly became friends from then and all throughout high school. We hung out almost all the time. I remember we would work with his brother doing random construction/carpenter clean ups. Isreal had hustle in him. He was a reliable friend and I truly miss him.

I wish I got to spend more time with my little brother in the past few years. Isreal had a good heart and may heΒ rest in peace. He will be greatly missed. My condolences to all of his other family members and friends.

I took this picture of Isreal our senior year and right before I took it he made me make sure his hair looked good π€£. He was great friend and partner for the time we spent together. He was the sweetest, funniest, most chivalrous guy everβmy mom ADORED him. Any single time we would go out to eat he would always say, βmake sure you text your mom and ask her what she wants so we can order her food before we go.β I played an Iggy Azalea song once in his car and the next week he surprised me with tickets to watch her perform in the city with Charli XCX on a school night our senior year. Iβll always cherish the moments that we spent together as he was truly a gem in my life.Β

I'm so sorry for the loss of Isreal. I'll always remember all of us playing together as kids and the fun we had.
