My earliest memories of my Auntie Irene were of singing silly songs. I remember Irene & Jamie cracking each other up and driving around crazy when they babysat me. Riding with my Auntie on amusement rides was high adventure! She would spin the Tea Cups so fast I could not peel myself from the back of the seat. She made me a princess as a flower girl when she married Don. As I grew, Irene cheered me on at my softball games and drill team competitions, always contributing to fund raisers with enthusiasm. Irene was an example of a classy woman, intelligent, interesting, cultured and with exquisite culinary and musical taste. I make her toffee recipe each Christmas to this day! Her and Anne showered my family with gifts and a gourmet meal on their annual visits. She never missed a birthday card (laced with the age in $)! It was beautiful to see Irene’s dedication to Don and her children, and her passionate commitment to family. My heart will be forever connected to you, Irene, and I am grateful God shared you with us all!

Love, Tami
