Irene Rose Besch, age 75, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 14, 2025. The second eldest of six siblings, Irene was born October 12, 1949, in Milwaukee, WI. She prided herself on her work at Quality Candy in St. Francis and retired after more than 30 years with the company. Irene enjoyed watching women’s softball, playing the lottery, and especially loved laughing, joking, and reminiscing with her family and close friends. Treating her nieces and nephews was one of her greatest joys, and her famous deviled eggs will forever be unmatched.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Rose Besch, brother, Robert “Boomer/Bobby” Besch, nephew Timothy Besch, and her cat, Sammy. Dearly missed, she is survived by her loving siblings: Roy (Kathy) Besch, Richard Besch, Susan (Russell) Wagner, and Sharon (Jeff Hardy) Besch; her nephews and nieces: Tony (Amanda Kachikis) Besch, Steve (Kristy) Wagner, Matthew (Liz Enders) Besch, and Jason (Christine Kasprzak) Smith; her great-nephews and great-nieces: Chase Smith, Owen and Eli Wagner, and Liliana and Violet Besch; special friends: Marty and Mike, as well as many other friends and extended family.

A Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at Peace of Mind Funeral & Cremation Services 5325 W Greenfield Ave, Milwaukee, WI 53214. The visitation will begin at 3pm, followed by the service at 6pm.
