Ingrid Johanna Mathis, beloved mother and grandmother, peacefully passed away on September 20, 2025, with her daughter Michelle by her side.

Born in Konz, Germany, to Leopold and Maria Wagner, Ingrid met Roy Allen Mathis while he was stationed in Germany with the U.S. Air Force. They married in 1960 and shared many years of love until his passing in January 2025.

Ingrid had a joyful spirit and a playful sense of humor. She was a loving and social person who enjoyed cooking, shopping, and spending time with friends and family. She adored her cat, Mitzi, and never missed her afternoon coffee with a sweet treat.

She is survived by her children, Michelle Mathis and Patricia Shaw, and her grandchildren, Amanda Heiner, Ariana Heiner, Nicole Hurtado, and Vanessa Corwin. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Allen Mathis, and her parents, Leopold and Maria Wagner.

Ingrid will be laid to rest alongside her husband at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona. She will be remembered for her warmth, humor, and the love she shared with her family and friends.
