Inez Elaine Chisum transitioned to Glory on Thursday, December 21, 2023. She was born in Mt. Pleasant, TN on March 25, 1945 to the late William and Betrue (Chavers) Sharpe. Her grandparents were John & Hattie Chavers and Bert & Bessie Sharpe. Elaine was also predeceased by her husband, John Chisum, Sr.; brother, Stanley Sharpe, Sr. (Ellen).; nephew, Mario LaBraun Lyles, as well as a host of aunts and uncles.

Chavers Funeral Home will manage and assist the family the final arrangements. Services are as follows:
Family Visitation will be held on Friday, December 29, 2023 from 4:00-6:00 PM at First Baptist Church, James M. McCarroll Jr.-Pastor, located at 738 E. Castle St. Murfreesboro, TN. 37130.
Funeral Visitation-Services will be held on Saturday, December 30. 2023 at Railroad St. Original Church of God, Connie Baker-Pastor, located at 315 Railroad St. Mt. Pleasant, TN 38474. Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM and Funeral Services will begin at 12:00 PM.
Burial and Final Resting Place will be at Chavers Family Cemetery, located on Chavers Farm Rd. Mt. Pleasant, TN. 38474.
