Idida's obituary

Independence, Missouri - Idida Avila departed this world to go home to Jesus on October 5, 2024. She was born on December 23, 1966, in Kansas City, MO, the seventh of eight children born to David and Isabel Avila. She shared her childhood with her siblings Ruth, Esther, Raquel, and Adriel. Her unforgettable laughter and infectious smile will live with us forever. She was a beautiful person inside and out and will be missed by all who knew her.

Idida graduated from Center High School in 1985. She then dedicated her life to the art of making people beautiful, from hair to makeup, and as an esthetician and massage therapist at the Bolero Salon and Spa. Her passion for beauty extended to the kitchen, where she loved to cook and bake, even exploring that business for a period.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings, David, Ruben, and Eunice. She is survived by her sisters Ruth (Kenny) Fleming, Esther (Mark) Honea, Raquel Avila, and brother Adriel (Sandy) Avila, as well as many loving cousins, nieces, and nephews.

In place of flowers, the family suggests contributions to gofundme.com under her name to help with burial costs. A celebration of life will be announced at a later time.
