Idida and I went to cosmetology school together. She made it her mission to become my friend. I was shy and really didn't know what to make of this outgoing and opinionated girl that said what ever came into her mind. Over the years we moved apart and didn't talk as much but always were there for each other, as time passed we needed each other less and less but when ever we got together it was like no time had passed. I love her like a sister.
Idida was in my first kindergarten class at Center Elementary. There was something special about that class as I am still in touch with several of her classmates and my room mothers. I always remember her smiling little face and good humor. I also remember her for her mother’s salsa that I would buy at the store. My deepest condolences to the family, she is gone far too early.
