Imogene was born January 14, 1930 in Vidalia, Georgia and passed away June 28, 2020 in Leesville, Louisiana at the age of 90. She lived most of her life in Georgia where she worked full time and attended nursing school. She was very determined, and after earning her degree she worked as an LPN. Imogene was dedicated to the Lord all of her life. She and her husband loved serving their local churches in Georgia. At the age of 80, she moved to Leesville and attended Canaan Baptist Church. Imogene was blessed with a cheerful, nurturing spirit, and she enjoyed being with people. Many members of her church called her “Mrs. Sunshine” because she was always gracious and sweet to everyone. She enjoyed working in her garden and playing the piano. Most of all, she cherished her family and was a shining example of a mother.

Imogene was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Edwin Roberson; parents, Elijah Galbreath and Ida Morris Galbreath; son, Joseph E. Roberson, Jr.; daughter, Judy Ann Thompson; grandson, Jon Charles (Chuck) Thompson; brothers, G.C. Galbreath, Lloyd Galbreath, and Johnnie Galbreath; and sister, Mary Estelle Galbreath.

Left to cherish her memory are her son, Jerry Roberson and wife Judi of Richland Hills, Texas, daughter, Evelyn Beltz and husband Donald of Leesville, Louisiana, son-in-law, Danny Mac Thompson of Alston, Georgia, daughter-in-law, Rita Roberson of Brunswick, Georgia, grandchildren, Beverly Moreno and husband Abbey, Carrie Beltz, Gina Robison, Jason Roberson and wife Darlyn, Catina Adamson, Michelle Capps, Morgan Hickey and husband Shawn, great grandchildren, Kristin, Bailey, Katarina, Luke, Tyler, Justina, Levi, Haleigh, Bailey, Kaleigh, Railey Jo, Peyton, John, Wessley, Preston, Simon, Grant, and Delilah, five great-great grandchildren, and a host of extended family.
