Hunter's obituary
On October 4th, 2025, Hunter Wagner, age 26, passed away in Marquette, Michigan.
He was born Hunter Lewis Wagner on August 11th, 1999, in Muskegon, MI, to James Russell Wagner Junior and Terri Marie Wagner nee Reagan (later Martin). He grew up and lived in Ionia and Muskegon, dividing his time between his home and that of his paternal grandparents. Hunter never considered his family in steps or halves. He grew up with two sisters and three living brothers.
Hunter was baptized in Lake Michigan at Grand Traverse Beach on August 18th, 2012.
Hunter loved dogs, music, and laughter. He honored and admired our veterans, as he was not able to serve himself. He struggled with bipolar disorder and borderline personality disorder. He was an advocate and ally for those who struggled as he did. He was friendly and outgoing with a flair for the dramatic
Hunter loved his family and was loyal to a fault to the ones he believed loved him.
He is joined in death by his mother, Terri Marie Martin, stillborn brother Dylan James Martin, grandfather, Randolph Reagan, grandmother Tamara Griffith, and great-grandfather Don Wagner, as well as close friends KayeLynn Lyon and Hunter Ferris, and his beloved dog Marley Derby-Boy Wagner
He is survived by his father, James Wagner Junior, and stepmother, Melissa. His brothers, Kaleb Wagner, Dakota Stapelton, Jason Martin, and his Sisters, Anna(Ramey) Sanborn and Cheyanne Martin, nieces, Delilah and Oakley .grandparents, Sandra and James Wagner Senior, Lyle Griffith and Carol Harger, & Sharon Reagan, Aunts Sue and Leona Wagner Mellora Lenardson, Briana Kirkpatrick, Nicole Smith and Uncle Lewis Wagner, great-grandparents, Joann and Franklin Schohl, as well as many cousins, great aunts and uncles and friends.
Hunter’s Celebration of Life will take place on November 22, 2025, at Carson City United Methodist Church, 119 E Elm St, Carson City, MI. 48811
