Yessin family,
I am so thankful that each of you have been a part of my life, including Humzy and sweet Ruby. We literally grew up together, and as I look back we learned a lot about life, and I wouldn’t trade a thing for all we did together. Thanks to Tim for hosting the whole family and many friends yesterday. Talking, laughing, shaking hands, hugging and remembering the 70’s and 80’s with each of you was a treasure I hope we get to do again, although under different circumstances.
Grief is so, so hard. We never know how or when it will hit us, or those who grieve with us. Everyone does it in their own way, but what I know is that a loving supportive family as well as friends can’t fix everything…but they can make the tough times better. Hold on to your momma, each other, and the days can improve as Humzy moves on to the greatest place.

My family and I moved to Lexington,Ky from NLR, AR. We were blessed to have moved next door to the Yessin's. Humzey and the whole family gave us a warm welcome. I found my best friend in Carla. And friend with the whole family. There are so many good times. I'm proud to have gotten to spend my Jr high and High school years as Humzey neighbor.
My heart is with the whole family in this day of celebration of the great life of Humzey. I just regret I could not be there in person.
