Hugette's obituary
In 1940, she met and married Pierson Clark Washer, Jr., an airline mechanic for Pan Am airlines. Soon after, they moved to California and settled in the Bay Area to start their family. He passed away in 1953.
In 1967, she met and married her beloved Max Keller, to whom she was still married at the time of her death. Together they made a beautiful life and loved to travel and entertain. She was the life of any party.
Known for her youthful beauty, Huguette also had many extraordinary talents. She was an expert cook, seamstress, interior designer, dollmaker and artist. She passed many of those talents on to her four children. She adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren and took great pride in their accomplishments.
She had a sharp and inquisitive mind and was always well informed of current events. She also had a great affinity for animals and was known to befriend birds and other wildlife that were drawn to her beautiful garden.
Huguette is survived by her adoring husband of 50 years, Max Keller, sons Bud (Marie-Laure), Daniel (Jere), Fred (Janet) and daughter Michelle. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren, sister Helen, brother Claude, sister Claudette and many nephews and nieces. She is preceded in death by her first husband and five brothers, Maxim, Lucien, Robert, Christian and Yvon.
Funeral services celebrating Huguette's life will be held on Saturday, March 23rd, 2019 at Holy Cross Cemetery, 2200 E 18th St, Antioch, CA 94509. Friends may call at 10am for viewing and visitation, with services beginning at 10:30am. A reception following the services will be held at Smith's Landing Seafood Grill, 1 Marina Plaza, Antioch, CA.
