It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Howard "Dale" Woods, who unexpectedly departed this life on April 28, 2024. Known to many as Dale, he was born August 8, 1964 to Harry and Pat Woods. He lived a rich life characterized by love, service, and a spirit of adventure.

Dale is warmly remembered as a funny and dependable man. Friends, family, and all who met him could always count on Dale for a good laugh and helping hand. A man of faith, Dale's belief system underpinned his actions and interactions, making him a beacon of hope and compassion to others.

Among his many accomplishments, Dale was particularly proud of furthering his education at Delaware Technical Community College earning his journeyman licensure for HVAC, an achievement that attested to his dedication, determination, and skill. He was a man of many interests, with a love for sports evident in his unwavering support for his favorite team, the Washington Redskins.

In addition to sports, Dale found joy in various outdoor recreational activities, including camping, fishing, riding his Harley and skiing on both land and the water. A lover of nature and the open road, Dale's spirit was as wild and free as the wind on his rides. He also held a special place in his heart for Rehoboth Beach, DE, which he considered one of his favorite vacation spots.

Dale leaves behind a loving family to cherish his memory, including his wife, Karen, his daughter, Katelyn, and his step-daughter, Kristen. His mother, Pat; his sisters Janet, Kelly, and Carolyn; and nephews also survive him. He was preceded in death by his father, Harry, and brother, Keith.

Dale's legacy will live on in the hearts of his loved ones and those who knew him. As we mourn the loss of this extraordinary man, we also celebrate a life well-lived, filled with love, joy, and incredible adventures.
