Howard “Eddie” Johnson, Sr. was born on August 22, 1959, in Cleveland, Ohio to his parents, William C. Johnson, Sr. and Dollie Mae Stanley Johnson. He was the second of three children born in the family. He was raised surrounded by his brother, William, Jr. and his sister, Debora. On February 10, 1983, Eddie wed Mildred Johnson.
