Howard "Ed" passed away May 31st, 2023, surrounded by family and friends. Howard and Sue moved from Granite Falls to Smokey Point to a living assisted home. Ed was just shy of 97 years old when he passed away from heart disease. Ed was born in St. Regis Montana to George and Ruth Edminster and with his brother George Jr. moved to Olympia Washington.

At 17 Ed went into the Navy and traveled all the world, then the Korean war, Sea Transportation Services and then home to Seattle. He worked at Boeing, American Can Company and Huntley Tool and Die as a welder until the sea called him back to work and retire from N.O.A.A. until 1988. 

Ed and Sue built their home on 13 acres in Granite Falls , traveled the world researching our genealogy roots and being great parents and grandparents.

Dad was married three times and had seven children and many grand and great grandchildren. 

A celebration of life/love will be held July 22nd, 2023, from 1:00-3:00 pm at
