Hopie's obituary
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Hope "Hopie" Nixon on September 25, 2023. Born on November 13, 1986, Hopie lived a sour life.
Hopie was known for her bold preference in drinks. She was often seen sipping on King Cobras and 99. Her epicurean tendencies were not only limited to drinks, but extended to an appreciation for the fine art of music. A true connoisseur of sound, Hopie’s favorite music was the soulful and powerful Oldies. She was known to bop her head and tap her feet to the rhythm, and the rhythm, in turn, flowed through her veins and enriched her spirit.
Just like her eclectic taste in music and drinks, Hopie loved a diverse range of movies. She enjoyed cinematic classics like “The casting couch” She also valued the powerful storytelling in “bang bus” proving her appreciation for narratives that offered profound and life-changing experiences.
When it came to sports, Hopie was a loyal fan of the drinking that was her sport. She loved getting dumb drunk. Her recreational time, however, was spent in the sweet stillness of sleep, embracing the peace and tranquility it offered. Her favorite local spot was the beach where she loved to unwind and feel the cool sea breeze against her face.
In everything she chose and loved, Hopie was a visual delight; her favorite color was black that was the only color she wore.
As we mourn the loss of a unique soul, we also celebrate the life she lived. Hopie has left us to rest, but her spirit, memories, and love for life remain in the hearts of everyone she touched. Her legacy will continue to inspire and guide us, reminding us of her undying love for music, sports, and the beautiful little things that made life worth living for her.
