Hooch's obituary
We are saddened to announce the passing of Hooch "Hoodie" Phillips, who left us on June 27, 2025, having been born on January 6, 2019. Most knew him as Hoodie, but he preferred the endearing sobriquet of Hooch. Though he was a dog by nature, in our hearts he was a cherished son, full of love and kindness.
Hooch is survived by his parents, Tim and Julie Phillips, who remember him fondly for his adventurous spirit, particularly his love for going outside and finding rabbits. His playful energy and relentless curiosity were hallmarks of Hooch's personality and enriched our daily living.
Despite his brief time with us, Hooch left behind a profound message of love and acceptance. He taught us to love everyone unconditionally, a lesson embodied in his own actions. Even when he was hurting, Hooch found it within himself to play and comfort his family, demonstrating a resilience and boundless love that touched us all.
Among Hooch's many achievements, this capacity for empathy and joy in the face of adversity stands out as his greatest. In his loving memory, let us strive to live out his legacy: to love one another and to always make life better.
Though we mourn the loss of our beloved Hooch, we honor him by carrying forward the lessons he taught us. He was more than just a great dog; he was our son, our friend, our teacher in ways we never anticipated. As we remember Hooch, we are reminded of the love he shared freely and the happiness he brought into our lives. He will be deeply missed.
