Herschel Albert Mooney, 17, passed away suddenly at home in Parkesburg on Monday, February 2, 2026. Born in West Chester to Brigitte DeGroff and Michael Mooney, Herschel spent his earliest years in the Boston area before moving to Seattle, Washington. Returning to Chester County in 2015, Herschel attended the Coatesville Area School District.
He was a member of the Gifted Program, National Honor Society, and the Art Club. Herschel was bright, intelligent, always active and …
