Herman's obituary
Herman Scheidt, 74, of Citrus Heights, CA, passed away on December 31, 2022 after a battle with Dementia.
Herman was born on December 19, 1948 to Edward and Ella Scheidt of North Dakota.
After high school, he served in the U.S. Army 25th Infantry and fought in the Vietnam War.
Upon his return, he married his high school sweetheart, Colleen Morris, on October 18, .... He worked various jobs in the construction field and also worked on the power plant in North Dakota. They had two children, Kevin and Jodie.
In 1984 they packed up their belongings and moved to California where he started his own construction company. Herman was a force of nature, determined to provide for his family and give them the life he felt they deserved. His family meant more to him than anything else in the world, something he often mentioned. He was unendingly proud of Kevin, Jodie and Colleen, and always tried his best to support them.
Herman was also a passionate motorcyclist and could often be found traveling all over the western United States with Colleen when he wasn’t at home.
Anyone who knew Herman knew that he was the most loving father and husband a family could ask for. Herman was predeceased by his parents, Ella and Edward Scheidt, his wife, Colleen Scheidt and his siblings, Emil, Edward, Frank, Henry and Betty . He is survived by his son Kevin, daughter-in-law, Wendy, their children Zachary and Trevor and his Daughter Jodie, son-in-law, Phil, and their children Michael(spouse Lauren), Skyler(spouse Gabriella), Gabriel and Emma and his sisters Christine and Shirley and his brother Lawrence.
There will be a celebration of life on February 11, at 3pm.
