Herbert Withers Ware, II died on April 26, 2025, in Leesburg, VA. As he said, his “parts wore out,” eventually succumbing to the impacts of prostate cancer and cardiovascular disease.
Born June 14, 1933, in Richmond, VA, Herb, or “Withers” as he was known to family, was the first child of Leona Pingel Krause and Henry Moncure Ware. The family, which included Herb’s twin sisters Henrietta (Hetta) and Patricia (Pat), lived in Gordonsville and then …
