What a colorful and loving tribute to a colorful, loving, and well-loved man. As a childhood friend of Lauren's, I always felt welcomed in the Brown home and treated like a family member. Once when we were about 13, Herbie took Lauren and me to Action Park for a day. At the time, I was excited about the water park. But all these years later, the part I still remember is the lively conversation in our hours together in the car. (Oh, and I also remember a side quest to check out a prospective real estate deal!) He had a large presence and a large heart. Condolences to the whole Brown clan.
