Sharing a heart with you today Debra πŸ’“Β
I just read in the LW today, that Christ took Henry home. He was a true Christian. Good memories of buying books, talking, and getting a little ribbing in good-natured fun. Christ's peace and resurrection strength be with you Debra and all your family!
I can say that after 51 years of marriage Henry never missed not even one of our anniversary. I look back at each and everyone of them with vivid memories as if they were yesterday. When we wet snorkeling and he couldn’t even swim. (I knew he really loved me then) He loved the mountains and I loved the beaches but for all of our anniversary he would take me to the beach.
We just celebrate our 50th! All of our children and grandchildren where there! It’s really a miracle that everyone could juggle their schedules and be there! We are blessed to have children who love us and care enough to celebrate 50 years of marriage with us. I have a lifetime of memories.
Praise be to God we had 51 years together and I was married to a man who took our wedding vows seriously!
I can say he loved me to the end. πŸ’‘

We have so many wonderful memories with Henry & Debbie. One thing we have chuckled about for many years happened one day when they were having lunch with us. It was cold outside & I had cooked a pot of beef stew. We all sat down at the table, Henry led us in prayer, & we started our lunch when Henry got up & went To the fridge, got a jar of Picante Sauce, came back to the table & dumped most of it in his bowl of stew. I thought β€œwell, there goes my delicious stew.” I had forgotten that he liked that sauce on EVERYTHING! All these years later it still brings a smile to our face to think of Henry & his love for Picante Sauce!! He was a dear friend for 45 years & will be missed, but we rejoice with him because he is exactly where he always longed to be...with Jesus ! Debbie, our prayers are with you & the kids & grandkids. Our love to all of you. Jimmy & Linda Doyle
What a great guy Henry was. I always admired Henry and loved his sense of humor and fun spirit. I celebrate his arrival at his eternal home but mourn with all of his family and friends. My prayers are with you Debbie, Henry, Cherie and Misty.

Sorry for your loss. Prayers for you and your Family.
My condolences Debbie, Henry Jr., Cherie, and Misty. So many wonderful memories growing up around Henry and your family when ya'll lived in the old house near Salem. He will be missed. Love and miss you all.
It was so great to reconnect to Henry the last 15 years after spending most of my childhood around him and his family in the Westfield Spring Klein community and in school at St Matthews church and school. Very proud he and Debra and family being missionaries and then becoming a pastor. I am very sorry for his family on their loss. But I am so happy to know Henry is alive and well in the arms of the Lord.

2019, The Grand Tetons
"Cherie says" Dad and I spent all day together at the Grand Tetons, we drove to Lake Jenny road a boat across the lake, then hiked 2 miles to see the Cascade Canyon then Hidden Falls and Inspiration Point. It was so relaxing. Then we ate lunch in Jackson Hole, did some shopping, had and ice cream. As we drove back we saw elk grazing. It was a perfect day.

Dad, Mom, my boys, and I would take a trip every year. My family would come in January to Texas, then we would meet up in the summer. Some of our favorite memories are the trips every year to see my family when we lived in Germany. Also seeing us every year when we moved to San Diego, taking road tips to Yellowstone, Grand Tetons, and Glacier Park. In July and August Mom and Dad drove, pulling their first RV. We meet on the Colorado River spent a week, then a week at my house, then a week at the beach camping. So glad I got those moments of watching the sunset, reading on the beach, and eating dinner together. Our last time together was so precious. We even had a talk about going to heaven how magnificent it will be. Dad was so ready to see his savior, he's so happy and still doing what he loves spending time with his Savior.

I remember Henry as my real live baby doll, spending my summer with Aunt Georgia and Uncle Henry Sr. Henry was my responsible while they were in the dairy barn. Years of Love is spent with Henry and his brothers and sister. The Christian Love from my cousin will never end, Always in my heart and never forgotten.

Saddened to hear of Pastor Wieds passing. My husband Adam Pegoda and I met Pastor when we began attending Cross of Christ in Waller. We loved attending church and listen to Pastors sermons as well as his friendship. Unfortunately, soon there after Adam went to be with the Lord. I will always be greatful for Pastors guidance and encouragement during that time of grief. Pastor you have been a great example of a disciple and I can only imagine how sweet the sound when God welcomed ya home β€œWell done my faithful servant”. Prayers of comfort and peace to Debra and family.

Before either one of us were old enough to drive, Henry and I would drive the old yellow truck to the barn, load it with bales of hay ; then drive to whichever pasture the milk cows were in and unload the hay for them. This was a regular chore for Henry, but he loved teaching me how to do it. Before the milking machines, Henry had the cats trained to open their mouths and he’d squirt them a mouthful of warm milk.
I know you are in heaven with The rest of the family and I thank God for your good and faithful servant life!

I was blessed to know Henry most of my life, being a student at St. Matthews. Henry always was nice to me being a younger student and I remember he took up for me on the playground a few times. He has blessed so many people throughout his life in his ministry. He had a unique way of delivering the message of Christ that so many will remember. God's blessings on his family and may He wrap His arms around you with comfort and peace as He is Henry right now.
