Jack was a twenty-eight year veteran with the United States Army.  He was very dedicated and during his time in the service he studied and received his BA degree.  While in the service he was assigned to Bangkok, Thailand, Korea and ended at Ft. Mead.  After his retirement he worked at the Norfolk hospital as a smoking cessation counselor. He spent ten years there and finally retired again   He is survived by his two sons, Henry J. West, III, and Jason William West.  He will be missed.
